Papalote is a modern, authentic Mexican restaurant based in Venice Beach, California. With a fun, approachable personality and a lively aesthetic, the menu design captures the vibrant spirit and rich flavors of Mexican culture. Clear layouts and engaging visuals make the experience enjoyable and accessible for customers of all ages.
The visual identity is bold, fresh, and deeply rooted in tradition. A sun-drenched color palette—inspired from mercados and street vendors—adds warmth and energy, while playful typography, hand-drawn icons, bring an authentic yet contemporary feel to the overall design.

Every detail in Papalote’s branding was crafted to feel unmistakably Mexican. From hand-painted signs to mercado posters, the moodboard reflects the color, rhythm, and spirit of everyday life in Mexico.
I explored playful, retro-inspired typography for the logo, aiming to blend authenticity with a modern twist that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly local.
